The Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) hosted its annual Georgia Conference and Trade Show earlier this month at the Georgia Convention Center in College Park, Georgia. The event, held on August 13, 2024, attracted over 500 industry professionals, peers, and elected leaders for a day of networking and fundraising efforts.
Associate Vice President of the Zaver Hotels team and Georgia Regional Director of AAHOA, Vik Zaver, played a pivotal role in coordinating and executing the conference. This year, the conference raised over $32,000 for the AAHOA Political Action Committee, marking a significant increase in fundraising efforts. The event also saw the addition of 28 new members and a 21 percent increase in overall participant attendance compared to the previous year.
Featured speakers included Hannah Palmquist, Chief of the Human Trafficking Prosecution Unit at the State of Georgia Office of the Attorney General, and Chris Hardman, Director of Governmental Affairs & Membership at the Georgia Hotel and Lodging Association (GHLA). Palmquist and Hardman addressed critical issues affecting the hospitality industry, including legislative updates and the ongoing fight against human trafficking.Top of FormBottom of Form
"I am thrilled with the outcome of this year’s conference and the significant impact it has made on the hoteling community,” said Vik Zaver. “Our ongoing support for AAHOA underscores our team’s dedication to fostering industry growth, supporting our members, and championing critical causes such as human trafficking awareness. This year’s event has truly highlighted the strength and unity of AAHOA."
